Replatform, Rescue & Redesign
Move to Shopify or BigCommerce without losing rankings, rescue a stalled build another agency left behind, or redesign a dated storefront for how enthusiasts actually shop on mobile.

When your platform is holding you back
Most of the stores we take on are not broken overnight. They slow down over years: a platform that charges more for every feature, a theme nobody wants to touch, a checkout that fights your FFL and compliance rules, and a backlog of fixes that never quite ships. In the shooting, hunting, outdoor, and tactical space, it is harder still. Some platforms and payment providers restrict what you sell, and generalist agencies rarely know where the lines are.
We help you decide whether to move, fix, or rebuild, and then we do the work with the industry rules already in mind.
What we do
Platform migrations. Products, variants, customers, order history, reviews, and content moved to Shopify or BigCommerce, with redirects mapped URL by URL so you keep the rankings you have earned.
Website rescues. We audit half-finished or failing builds, stabilize what is worth keeping, and get the project to launch, often with a fixed scope and a clear date.
Custom design. Mobile-first storefronts built around how your customers shop: by caliber, platform, compatibility, and use, not just by category.
Compliance-aware builds. FFL dealer selection, age verification, state and local shipping restrictions, and restricted-product rules set up and tested before launch.
Ongoing support. A US-based team on call after launch for fixes, improvements, and seasonal pushes.

How a project runs
Discovery and audit. We review your current platform, apps, integrations, traffic, and compliance needs, and recommend the right path. Sometimes that is a fix, not a migration.
Plan and design. A written scope, a migration and redirect plan, and designs you approve before anything is built.
Build and migrate. Development on a staging site, with data moved in test runs so nothing surprises you on launch day.
Launch. A planned cutover, redirect checks, tracking verification, and a team watching orders and search traffic closely in the weeks after.
Improve. Once the new store is stable, we move straight into testing and optimization.
A new platform should give you flexibility and enable growth, not just look nice.
Why Ballistic
We have spent 18 years building stores for this industry. We know which platforms, payment processors, and apps work with firearms, ammunition, accessories, and parts, and which ones will shut you down later. Every strategist, designer, and developer on your project is based in the US.
How long does a migration take?
Most migrations take between three and six months, depending on catalog size, custom features, and integrations. Rescues of stalled projects are often faster. We give you a dated plan after discovery.
Will we lose our search rankings?
Every migration includes URL mapping, redirects, and a structured data and metadata check before and after launch. Our goal is that search engines barely notice the move.
